Using an equipment layout suited to the company’s production volume and manpower composition, Morikawa pursues high efficiency using a system that includes numerically-controlled (NC) lathes, machining centers, and transfer machines. Morikawa currently produces comparatively large-volume products, but is also studying in-house production of small-lot products in the future.

1 Material receiving: Materials are charged to the machining line after confirming the machine type, number, and inspection
2 Machining: The machining line is balanced to the set volume of products and manpower composition. When setting materials, care is used to avoid dents and impressions. Consideration of jig washing is also indispensable.
3 Washing: After machining, products are charged into a washer to remove any impurities remaining after machining. Proper cleanliness control is performed, depending on the product.
4 Dimensional inspection: Standard dimensions are measured, including use of a 3D measurement system, roughness gage, etc., to judge whether products pass.
5 Shipping: All products are packed considering corrosion prevention, dust prevention, and cushioning. Products are then shipped by dedicated carriers serving each area, and are delivered to the customer on the designated date.
